This past weekend I streamed your game. Overall, I can understand why this game was cancelled (but I hope that doesn't mean you will give up on game dev)
What caught my attention with this game was the art. I thought the character designs were cute and the edits made to common tilesets looked very nice.
There were obvious flaws that make sense given that this was suppose to be (one of) your first games in the engine, such as transition events not making sense and lacking the "if player is facing..." conditional. (It's on page 3 when adding a conditional, by the way).
There is definitely a lot to learn about the engine, despite any perception around it that it is a limited game engine. I know I am still learning and by no means consider myself a pro at using it. I hope that you will continue to make games in the future!
If you'd like to watch my experience with your game, I've linked the archive below. You can click the timestamps to jump to when I start playing your game.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment and for playing my game!
Because this was my first experience with RPG Maker, there are many things I didn't even know came off as unprofessional or unpolished (such as the aspect ratio changing, or the transfers always activating regardless of the direction the player is facing), or cliché! I appreciate all the feedback, and your gameplay being mostly focused on technical isuues has taught me a lot!
I'll keep all of your comments in mind if I ever make another game in RPG Maker : )
(And I really apologize for the bummer ending, I can confirm though, that after opening the gate the game would have ended).
Extremely cute game with nice and cute characters and quite a take on the story of heaven and hell, it has a nice little puzzle and a lot of interactions with the environment as well as different portraits for all the characters, it is really well done.
I would love to see a full version to actually understand the lore!

Hi Dicortesia :)
Beautiful characters and the story is interesting even if we jump without knowing anything, sad that you had to cancel it but understandable 💪
Hi and thank you for your kind comment! :' )
I'm glad it was enjoable despite how short and confusing it is!
It's very cute! I really like the design of the characters. This game chunk is very intriguing, makes you want to find out how it continues! :)
Thank you! I worked hard on the designs thinking I would finish the game and people would have more time to appreciate them, but oh well!
I would love to see a full version to actually understand the lore!
Keep the good work!
Ahh, I don't know what to say! I really didn't expect gameplay of this so soon after I posted it! :' )
Thank you so much for the kind words, and sorry about the confusion when it comes to the story!
